John E. Rooney, CP, CPed., L.O.

John has been practicing prosthetics and orthotics for 30 years and is known for listening to patient needs and concerns and combining that with his expertise to determine the best course of action.

John is a graduate of Northwestern University's prosthetic/orthotic program, and is an American Board Certified Prosthetist and Pedorthist, and a Licensed Orthotist in the State of Illinois. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists and the Illinois Society of Orthotists, Prosthetists and Pedorthists.

John holds a certificate in orthotics from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago, is a specialist in diabetic feet and plantar ulceration healing, and is a post-operative spine specialist.

A well-known expert in healing foot ulcers on diabetic feet, John holds a patent for his development of the custom-made ankle-foot Ulcer Healing Orthosis® (UHO®).

Karen A. Rooney, CMF, BOC Certified Mastectomy Fitter

Karen offers her patients compassionate care along with her expertise in fitting them with the most appropriate breast prosthesis and breast care products to fit their physical needs and their lifestyle. She has more than 20 years of experience as a Certified Mastectomy Fitter. Karen is certified to fit products by Amoena, a global leader in breast care product design and manufacturing, and also works with other manufacturers' designs.

Kathy, Office Manager

Kathy greets patients and serves as our firm's office manager. She coordinates billing and helps our patients navigate the insurance pre-certification and authorization process. Kathy is knowledgeable in all aspects of billing, and understanding of patients concerns and needs.
